Recombinant autoimmune antigens for assay development and production.

Different types of native antigens from A – Z, manufactured by pathogen cultivation and purification of the target antigen or antigen mixture. Recommended for highly sensitive IgA, IgG and IgM detection assays on different platforms including CLIA.

A range of selected recombinant antigens produced in hosts such as E.coli, yeast or insect cells. Antigens can be used for the specific detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies against the corresponding pathogen.

Antigen product portfolio from A – Z. Native and recombinant antigens for assay development and production.

Human plasma or serum, antibody positive (IgM/IgG/IgA) for the corresponding pathogen. Ideal for the manufacturing of calibrators and controls.

Human plasma or serum, antibody negative (IgM/IgG/IgA) for one or more of the corresponding pathogens. Ideal for the manufacturing of negative controls or as a spiking/dilution matrix.

Human plasma and serum portfolio from A - Z for the manufacturing of calibrators and controls.

Humanized monoclonal antibodies (IgM/IgG/IgA) produced in hybridoma cell culture directed against the corresponding pathogen. The perfect alternative for the manufacturing of calibrators and controls.

Humanized monoclonal antibodies (IgM/IgG/IgA) purified from hybridoma cell culture supernatant and presented in an IgG depleted and delipidized human serum matrix.

Monoclonal antibodies as a standardized, synthetic alternative for the manufacturing of calibrators and controls.

Pathogen

Bacterial pathogens are responsible for many severe infectious diseases, for example Brucella, B. pertussis and M. pneumoniae.

Viral pathogens are capable of causing a wide range of diseases with different clinical manifestations. Prominent examples are Ebola or Marburg Virus but also Varicella Zoster Virus, Rubella, Zika and Dengue Viruses are of signficant clinical and diagnostic relevance.

Human parasitic infections are caused by different protozoa or metazoa such as Leishmania, Toxoplasma or Taenia and Echinococcus. If left untreated, parasitic infections can lead to serious disease progression.

Human pathogenic fungal infections associated with weakened or nonexistent immune defense, e.g. after an organ transplantation, can lead to life-threatening mycoses. Most prominent human fungal pathogens are Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans.

Diagnostic Category

An autoimmune disease is a condition in which the immune system mistakenly targets healthy tissue. An accurate and timely diagnosis of autoimmune diseases is essential to manage symptoms and slow progression.

The ToRCH diagnostic panel is one of the most common serological diagnostic applications in the world. Tests are typically performed during pregnancy to detect severe diseases such as congenital infections with HSV-2 or injury to the unborn child caused by a Rubella Virus infection.
Measles, Mumps and Varicella Zoster Virus belong to the typical childhood diseases and form the MMV panel.
The Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) belongs to the large family of Herpes viruses that can cause different diseases. In young adults EBV can cause mononucleosis also known as glandular fever.

Respiratory infections are one of the most prevalent infectious diseases worldwide. Especially in areas with high levels of air pollution and heavy environmental impact. Known examples of this are infections with RSV or Adenovirus, but also bacterial infections such as Legionella and B. pertussis are typical respiratory diseases.

Many tropical diseases belong to a group called “emerging diseases”. Typical examples are Zika, Dengue and Chikungunya Virus. In particular, the countries of South America and parts of Asia are affected by these pathogens.

Typical childhood diseases are Measles, Mumps and Varicella but also B. pertussis. Although infection with these pathogens can be prevented by vaccination, it is important to carry out a serological differential diagnosis in suspected cases.

Gastrointestinal infections are among the most common infections worldwide, which can also lead in certain cases to a deadly disease. Typical representatives of this class are Enteroviruses such as Coxsackie or bacteria like Yersinia enterocolitica.
