Negative Human Plasma & Serum

Converted human plasma (re-calcified plasma = serum), antibody negative for selected infectous disease parameters. Antibody reactivity is detected using SERION Diagnostics’ ELISA classic assays.

The following plasma products are negative for several parameters:

• PLS_MMRZ_GN is negative for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and VZV IgG

• PLS_MMZE_N is negative for Measles, Mumps, VZV and EBV VCA IgM, as well as for Measles, Mumps, VZV, EBV VCA, EBV EA and EBV EBNA1 IgG

• PLS_RESP_N is negative for the respiratory parameters Adenovirus IgA/IgG/IgM, Chlamydia pneumoniae IgA/IgG/IgM, Mycoplasma pneumoniae IgA/IgG/IgM, Parainfluenza Virus 1/2/3 IgA/IgG, Parvovirus B19 IgA/IgG, and RSV IgA/IgG/IgM

• PLS_ToRCH_N is negative for IgG and IgM of the four ToRCH parameters Toxoplasma, Rubella, CMV and HSV1/2

• PLS_VAC_GN is negative for IgG of the vaccine parameters Diphtheria, Tetanus, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, VZV and TBS (FSME)

Note: All materials have been tested and classified on donor level to be negative or non-reactive for STS, HBsAg, HIV 1 Ag (or HIV PCR (NAT), HCV antibody, HCV (NAT) and HIV 1/2 antibody, as required at the time of bleeding, by using FDA licensed test kits. However, no test system can guarantee complete absence of infectious agents. Therefore, all products should be considered potentially infectious and handled with appropriate safety precautions.
